Pick-up Day
You must make an appointment and arrange for
pick-up details! If we aren't expecting you, we might just go
fishing. Don't be disappointed. Be sure to understand what you
need on your vehicle and what documents are needed |

Your Vehicle
Most of our triple axles and smaller trailers
are under 3000# empty. You do not need to be wired for brakes to
pick up your empty trailer. You do need to be wired for
lights, have proper size ball installed to correct height and a
place for a safety chain before you arrive. We do not
work on vehicles. Avoid smaller, light vehicles to haul heavy empty
trailers any distance. Run with all lights on and at a modest
speed. |

Insurance
When you place your deposit, we will
give you a serial number. We suggest you insure your trailer
separately. Our yard is locked but not insured. |
|
Licenses,
Titles, & Permits
We are state licensed dealers (#6278) and
manufacturers (#8295). We will provide inspections, numbers,
permits, or temporaries. We do it all for you! Be sure and make
all arrangements in advance, particularly out-of-state customers. |
|
Delivery
We can usually arrange
someone to deliver your empty trailer to dock side or your
marina. We can arrange to have your boat loaded and the trailer
custom fitted. We can refer you to a commercial hauler as
requested. Call for cost and details |

How to Choose a
Boat Trailer?
We build a Big Heavy Duty trailer for owners
that only move their boats a few times a year. Why invest in a
fancy trailer that will just sit idle most of the time? Used
trailers are just not available, or are too rusty or expensive.
Your boat will be more salable with its own custom-fitted trailer.
If you primarily need a large heavy duty trailer to transport and
store your boat, our trailers will save you about half the price.
Over 2000 Big Boat Customers have selected Quality.
We use channel iron, not rusty
tubes. We paint, not galvanize to save you money. There are no
pockets to trap water and create rust. We use Bunks or Timbers to
cradle your hull, like you see in the shipyard. Most bigger boats
need Timbers to support the hull skin and prevent distortion.
Rollers are okay for small, beach
launched boats, but big boats require a "normal" ramp
and are usually floated on and off. So who need rollers on big
boats? Hulls are very slippery on carpeted bunks. Just a little
throttle or winch will usually finish the job.
Many hulls will not tolerate
rollers and may cause dents and dimples. For example, Boston
Whaler voids their hull warranties if placed on rollers! And if
you use a lift, who needs rollers? Besides, they are expensive. If
you launch & Retrieve in saltwater frequently and/or travel
long distances, you should consider our all-galvanized "Salt
Water" King Boat Trailers.
